Graffiti Damage to Presidents Circle

University of Utah Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who vandalized sidewalks and steps around Presidents Circle on May 2, 2024.

In the early morning hours, University Campus Security observed an individual—described as a male dressed in black clothing and a mask—spray painting on the front steps of several buildings along Presidents Circle. The person quickly left the area while officers were arriving.

The suspect was last seen running northwest of Presidents Circle. Camera footage of the vandalism was found, but suspect information from the video did not provide much detail.

The University of Utah Department of Public Safety is actively investigating this case and is asking the public for assistance in identifying the suspect. Police urge anyone with information to call 801-585-2677 and reference case #24-1504.
