U OF U ALERT: Campus Activities Return to Normal on Wednesday, August 23, 2023

Campus activities will return to normal on Wednesday, August 23, following a university-wide IT outage. Crews worked into the night on Tuesday, August 22 to restore IT services across campus.

Tuesday afternoon, humidity levels triggered an automatic shutdown of many of the university’s data center servers. IT teams worked to replace equipment and reset systems throughout the night.

Classes, academic operations and regular staffing will proceed as normal Wednesday morning.

All U of U Health Hospitals and Clinics remain fully operational. If necessary, additional information for hospitals and clinics employees will be provided on Pulse.
