The app allows you to share your location with a trusted friend or family member through text or email. They can follow your journey in real time, making sure you arrive safely. In a situation where you need immediate help, the panic button alerts your emergency contact and gives you the option to call dispatch directly.

During broader emergencies, the “I’m OK” feature makes it easy to notify loved ones that you’re safe, sending both your location and a message. The “Work Alone” function provides additional protection for students and staff studying or working after hours, automatically checking in with you and notifying your emergency contact if you miss a scheduled check-in.

SafeU also includes URide, which allows you to request a ride across campus, along with quick access to emergency contacts, crisis support, and an emergency response guide tailored to different situations.
