Active Threat Training: In-Depth Video
This in-depth training is designed to empower employees and students to prevent, prepare for, and respond to active threats and emergencies, as well as recognize and report concerning behaviors that might indicate someone is on a pathway toward violence. It also includes information on the Standard Respond Protocol (SRP) which are simple, action-based directives to be used in emergency situations ranging from active threats, weather events, accidents, and fires.
This training uses the Civilian Response for Active Threat Situations (CRASE) curriculum developed by the Texas School Safety Center, with adaptations for higher education.
NOTE: University faculty and staff should access this training via Learning Hub or University of Utah Health's LMS system to ensure their participation is tracked for departmental/unit assignments.
